Since opening our doors in September 2024, we have helped 17 individual budding musicians and encountered countless more. When I first started Nightingale Music Studio after moving to Bountiful, Utah, all I had was a dream and a rough business plan. I barely had a website up and running and I didn’t know anything about marketing.
Since then, word of mouth as slowly spread. I’ve put myself on the list of music teachers in the area with Bountiful Music. I’ve learned about Facebook ads and how to make them effective. I’ve learned about sales and how to conduct a free trial lesson so it is effective and efficient for both the teacher and the prospective student. I’ve created ads and holiday specials. I’ve launched my music program for elementary aged students called Little Larks and seen its effect in the lives of my students.
When I started out in 2024 I had 1 regular student and no idea how to reach more. Now, in 2026 I have a total of 8 regular students and counting! We are looking forward to our first studio recital! And I have so many more things to add on the horizon as my studio continues to grow.
My dream for Nightingale Music Studio is to become a safe haven for growing musicians of all ages here in Davis County, Utah. Right now that safe haven works out of my own living room in Bountiful, Utah and is limited by my time as a stay at home mother between naptime and dinner. One day, I hope, it will be able to reach beyond the corners of my own home.
