I have so much planned for this upcoming year. As a young mom, singer, and business owner the start of a new year brings up many goals and opportunities.
As a mom, we have begun the process of potty training our 2-year old son. So far it is going remarkably well and I am looking forward to the day when it becomes so normal that not only can he self initiate, but he can go by himself. For now, just using the potty without accidents or tantrums on a regular basis during the day, and being able to leave the house are good enough for me.
In addition to our goals for my toddler, we are hoping to add another member to our family sometime this year. I’m not pregnant yet, but I sure hope to be soon. One child is amazing, and we love him more than words can say. But, we have more love to give and our family feels incomplete. It is time for Petty baby #2 and I can’t wait!
As a singer, I have recently committed to returning to voice lessons for myself. Even the best doctors need a doctor. I have been working on expanding my style range by learning more about belting and getting ready for audition season when I return to the stage… after baby #2 of course! Pregnancy and theater don’t mix very well. Take it from someone who knows.
